Based in our state-of-the-art Stone facilities, you will extract insights from experimental and historical datasets, driving materials development, process optimisation and performance improvement while collaborating with scientists, engineers

Qualifications

• BSc or MSc in Materials Science or related discipline.
• Experience in materials science from industry, research, academia or similar.
• Knowledge of materials characterisation techniques such as SEM, TGA, Rheology/DMTA, mechanical testing.
• Understanding of data analysis principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork; passion for innovation.
• Eligible to obtain UK Security Check clearance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with materials scientists, engineers and data specialists on data-driven challenges.
• Collect, analyse and interpret data from materials testing and development activities.
• Apply data analytics and modelling tools to identify insights for materials innovation.
• Develop, validate and refine predictive models for materials design and process optimisation.
• Communicate findings through reports, visualisations and presentations.
• Stay up-to-date with developments in materials informatics and machine learning.
