Job summary

Lucideon, a leading materials development and commercialisation organisation in the UK, is seeking a Computational Modeller to advance modelling of sintering processes, kiln environments, and digital twins for ceramic production.

You will work with COMSOL and FE tools, partner with industry and academia, and contribute to innovative modelling platforms. A MSc or PhD in science or engineering and strong FE skills are required.

Qualifications

  • MSc or PhD in science or engineering.
  • Experience in computational modelling or materials processing.
  • Strong COMSOL and FE analysis capability.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance material and process modelling capabilities using COMSOL and other FE tools.
  • Create bespoke models and contribute to innovative modelling platforms.
  • Work with partners to build models that support manufacturing process optimisation.
  • Interpret modelling outputs to address engineering and materials challenges.
  • Promote understanding of modelling benefits to clients and partners.
  • Support digital twins focused on sintering and ceramic production processes.
