Job summary

Interaction Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a specialist metalwork and fabrication business in Baldock, Hertfordshire, for a Purchasing & Production Coordinator. The role focuses on processing quotations, loading works orders, placing purchase orders and coordinating material deliveries to keep production on track.

The ideal candidate has experience in purchasing, production coordination or manufacturing administration, with strong IT skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience in purchasing, production coordination or manufacturing administration.
• Good IT skills and confidence using computerised systems.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
• Confidence communicating with suppliers, colleagues and stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritise workloads and manage deadlines.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Use and maintain accurate information in the MIE Trak ERP/MRP system.
• Load customer quotations and works orders for production.
• Raise and manage purchase orders for materials and services.
• Coordinate ordering of materials for current and upcoming jobs.
• Monitor outstanding orders and supplier deliveries.
• Liaise with suppliers on delivery dates and chase delays.
• Identify material shortages affecting production schedules.
• Maintain purchasing, supplier and production records.
• Provide general admin support to the office and production team.
