Job summary

Cummins Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Manufacturing operative on a fixed-term contract up to 24 months. The role is on-site and involves a 37.5-hour working week with rotating shifts including early mornings and late afternoons.

You will contribute to safety, quality, and cost goals by following procedures, operating equipment, and collaborating with the Materials team. Opportunities for a permanent contract may arise based on performance.

Job description

This is a fixed term contract up to 24 months, with the potential for a permanent contract.

Working 37.5 hours per week on a weekly rotating shift pattern of:

• Mornings: Monday to Friday 6.30am – 2.30pm

• Afternoons: Monday to Friday 3.00pm – 11.00pm

• Although not required as training will be provided, candidates with experience operating any PIV help to contribute to a safe, more efficient and productive workplace.

• Attention to Detail: Ability to meticulously follow procedures and specifications to ensure quality and accuracy in handling and delivering material and components to the production lines. Ability to identify quality issues and or incorrect parts, to quickly minimize production downtime.

• Time Keeping: Delivering material in a timely manner, minimizing downtime and keeping the production line running smoothly.

• Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.

• Teamwork and Communication: Ability to collaborate effectively within the Materials team and across departments. Communicate clearly about processes, issues, and safety concerns.

• PIV (Powered Industrial Vehicle) Experience.
