Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Materials Coordinator and Expeditor in Leeds to lead specialist materials management and stock control across projects. You will ensure QA, specifications, and traceability are maintained, with off-site storage and on-site issue aligned to production schedules.

The role involves reviewing data sheets, certificates, and MTOs, coordinating with fabricators and the Materials Team to keep delivery schedules on track and to uphold quality and compliance across the facility.

Qualifications

• Oil and Gas or piping materials experience.
• Ability to manage stock, traceability and certification.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high level and consistent approach to materials management, stock monitoring, QA, specification compliance, and traceability.
• Review MTOs, Isometrics and data sheets to ensure materials are compliant and available for issue to the facility.
• Liaise with Materials Team on receipts, certification and delivery schedules.
• Work with Fabrication supervisors to meet programmes and manage material issues.
• Maintain Traceability for materials to Original Certification and Client.
• Manage Quarantine Register and resolve issues with stakeholders.
• Supervise assistants to ensure coverage of activities.
• Establish and maintain permanent materials listings per PO/requisitions.
• Inspect receipts of permanent materials including welding electrodes.
• Manage storage, handling and issue of Electrodes per procedures.
• Maintain certification records with the wider Specialist Materials Team.
