The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool is seeking a Materials Management Assistant to support efficient procurement and stock replenishment of consumables across wards and departments.
You will handle electronic receipts, barcode scanning, unpacking deliveries, and liaise with staff and suppliers to maintain stock levels and meet ward requirements. Prior NHS experience and strong IT skills are desirable, with a commitment to accuracy and teamwork.
The role of a Materials Management Assistant is to ensure that an effective and efficient procurement service in regard to the ordering and replenishment of agreed consumable stock throughout the organisation(s) is provided to all end-users, making sure that all goods are ordered and received in a timely manner.
To provide internal supply chain services (materials management) using electronic receipts system and bar code data capture system;
Unpackandcheck items against delivery recordsand take corrective action where necessary ( whilst maintaining audit records);
Provide a materials management service to purchase regularstock and non stock items to meet ward/department requirements
Ensuring stock r otation and replenishing products in accordance with agreed procedures;
Ensuring stock levels are maintained and goods are put away in a timely manner o n receipt;
To ensure all designated stock is managed and replenished to the agreed level using a hand held bar code scanner , raising stock and non stock requisitions;
Unpack, check andbook in deliveries;
Liaise with internal staff and external suppliers onstockmanagement;
Processpurchaseordersand recommend sourcesofsupply/ savings to customers.
Respond to FSN (Field Safety Notices) received via logistic leads.
Deputise for the Logistics Supervisor when required.
