Job summary

Kane Group, based in Banbridge, is seeking a Materials & Inventory Coordinator to join the Offsite team. You will manage material take-offs from 3D models, coordinate orders, and oversee receipt and storage to support production schedules.

You will work closely with supply chain and fabrication teams, ensuring BOM alignment and accurate traceability. The role demands strong numeracy and Excel proficiency within a busy manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English (A–D) or equivalent.
• NVQ Level 3 in a mechanical or electrical discipline.
• Time-served pipefitter or electrician.
• Experience in inventory control, materials management, warehouse operations or manufacturing logistics.
• Proficiency in Excel and inventory management systems.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Strong numerical and organisational skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems in fabrication or manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Create material take-offs from 3D models and drawings for mechanical and electrical modular systems.
• Liaise with the supply chain to obtain quotations and oversee timely ordering of materials.
• Coordinate receipt, storage and distribution of mechanical components, raw materials and consumables.
• Manage material movements between warehouse, fabrication, assembly and production areas.
• Verify materials received against purchase orders and delivery documentation.
• Assist production with identifying components and locating inventory.
• Support quality requirements through accurate material identification and traceability.
• Report damaged materials, inventory issues and safety concerns promptly.
