Job summary

New Leaf Search has partnered with a multi-national asset finance company to recruit a Business Development Manager – Materials Handling. The role is UK-based with Midlands/North of England coverage and remote working options, focusing on generating new asset finance business across the UK.

You will manage relationships, structure transactions, and work with Credit, Legal, and Sales teams to drive growth in the materials handling equipment sector. Excellent bonus and benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in external leasing sales within materials handling.
• Strong knowledge of asset finance structures and risk considerations.
• Proven track record of new business development and deal execution.
• Confident negotiating complex transactions and legal documentation.
• Commercial, self-motivated and comfortable working to targets.

Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities within the materials handling sector
• Build and manage long-term client and introducer relationships
• Structure and negotiate asset finance transactions in line with credit and risk parameters
• Maintain a strong pipeline and approval rates through effective pre-qualification
• Work closely with Credit, Legal, Sales Support and Technology teams
• Deliver regional sales and product training to drive penetration
• Ensure compliance with governance, regulatory and risk policies
• Support senior management with strategy and regional initiatives
