Job summary

Pertemps Network Group is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for an experienced Material Handler to join the logistics and warehouse team near Curdworth. The role offers a training period with a salary of £13.20 per hour, rising to £14.07 per hour once fully trained, inclusive of shift allowances.

Work patterns include rotating AM and PM shifts with premiums. You’ll handle goods in, stock movements and dispatch, using SAP/ERP and maintaining high safety and 5S

Qualifications

• Previous experience in manufacturing, production or warehouse environments.
• Experience with goods inward, despatch, stock movements and material handling.
• GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Working knowledge of Excel and stock management processes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the flow of materials to production, ensuring timely supply.
• Load and unload deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Process goods receipts, stock movements and material issues in SAP/ERP.
• Pick, pack and prepare materials and finished goods for dispatch.
• Transfer stock between warehouse locations and production areas.
• Ensure stock is correctly identified, stored and rotated.
• Conduct regular stock checks and inventory activities.
• Complete warehouse transactions accurately and promptly.
• Ensure shipping and dispatch documentation is correct.
• Support internal departments with material deliveries and collections.
• Operate material handling equipment safely.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards in line with 5S.

Shift Pattern

This role operates on a weekly rotating shift pattern:

AM Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 6:00am - 2:00pm


• Friday: 6:00am - 12:00pm


• Shift Premium: 7.5%

PM Shift

• Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm


• Friday: 12:00pm - 6:00pm


• Shift Premium: 20%

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain the flow of materials to production, ensuring materials are supplied accurately and on time.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or warehouse environment.


• Experience covering goods inward, despatch, stock movements, and material handling.

Valid FLT licences including:

• Counterbalance


• Flexi


• Multi-Directional

• Experience using computerised stock management systems, ideally SAP or ERP systems.


• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping skills.


• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.


• Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


• GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths (or equivalent).


• Working knowledge of Excel and warehouse management processes.
