Oxford Instruments Plasma Technology in Bristol is seeking an experienced Materials Controller to join the Planning team on a permanent basis. The role focuses on ensuring materials are available to support the production plan, manage stock movements, and resolve shortages in collaboration with Planning, Procurement, Stores and Production.

You will monitor material availability, support work orders in the ERP system, and drive continuous improvements in material control processes while liaising

Qualifications

• Manufacturing, warehousing, logistics or material-control experience.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems to review demand and supply.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilités

• Ensure materials are available to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
• Monitor material shortages and take actions to prevent disruption to manufacturing.
• Work with Purchasing to expedite purchase orders and coordinate with Procurement, Stores and Production.
• Create, release and maintain work orders within the ERP system; review deviations and concessions.
• Review shortages and exception reports daily; escalate risks affecting deliveries.
• Attend production/planning meetings and provide updates on material risks and shortages.
• Maintain shortage trackers and material status reports; monitor key metrics and support process improvements.
