Job summary

ALL.SPACE in Reading is seeking a Materials Controller to oversee receipt, storage, control and distribution of materials, ensuring accurate stock records and timely replenishment. You will work with ERP/WMS systems and ensure compliance with safety and company procedures.

The role covers inspection, labeling, storage, picking/packing, stock counts and occasional site duties at the Thatcham location, with forklift operation and MRPI familiarity required.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and check incoming goods against delivery notes and purchase orders
• Inspect materials for damage and report discrepancies
• Label, store, and organize stock in designated locations
• Pick, pack, and issue materials to internal departments or customers
• Maintain accurate stock records (manual or system-based)
• Update inventory systems (ERP/WMS) as required
• Conduct regular stock counts and assist with stock audits
• Monitor stock levels and report low stock to supervisors
• Ensure proper handling and storage of materials (including hazardous items if applicable)
• Keep the store/warehouse clean, organized, and safe
• Operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) where licensed
• Follow company health & safety procedures at all times
• Assist with returns, damaged goods processing, and disposal procedures

This role requires flexibility of working location and will occasionally need to be based at the Third-Party Logistics Provider at Thatcham.
