Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services is seeking a Stores and Stock Controller to manage main stores inventory and engineer van stock, ensuring accurate goods in/out and timely deliveries. The role involves stock control, PO creation, and maintenance of stock records.

You will operate stock control systems, perform regular stock checks, and assist with workshop hygiene and asset management. Career progression and training are available within Mitie.

Responsibilities

• Control and maintain stock levels in the main stores.
• Control and maintain stock levels in the engineers vans.
• Manage and record goods inwards / outwards.
• Take delivery of goods with occasional forklift use.
• Ensure goods are checked in and accurate in a timely manner.
• Check for damages and correct quantities.
• Store items using FIFO in storeroom.
• Assemble service kits and dispatch to SHL engineers.
• Manage quarantined items and returns.
• Create stock purchase orders.
• Update GRNs on stock control / purchasing system.
• Verify stock levels and re-ordering levels.
• Record stock movements / transfers on stock control system.
• Manage stock control system.
• Carry out regular stores stock checks.
• Assist with engineer van stock checks.
• Keep stores and workshop clean and tidy.
• Maintain asset registers for tools and PPE.
• Ensure Workplace H&S compliance at all times.
• Perform other duties as required.

To undertake works in connection with the issuing of stores items and the maintenance of stock which includes;

Job Responsibilities

• Control and maintenance of stock levels in the main stores.
• Control and maintenance of stock levels in the engineers vans
• Managing and recording goods inwards / outwards.
• Taking delivery of goods with the occasional use of a forklift.
• Ensuring that goods are checked in and accurate in a timely manner.
• Checking for damages and correct quantities.
• Putting items away in storeroom after delivery on a first in, first out basis.
• Putting together service kits and dispatch to SHL engineers.
• Managing quarantined items and returns.
• Creation of stock purchase orders.
• Updating GRN's on Stock control / purchasing system.
• Verifying stock levels and re-ordering levels.
• Recording stock movements / transfers on stock control system.
• Managing stock control system.
• Carrying out regular stores stock checks.
• Assisting with engineer van stock checks
• Ensuring stores and workshop are kept clean and tidy.
• Maintaining asset registers for tools and PPE.
• Ensure Workplace H&S compliance at all times.
• Other such duties as may be required from time to time.
