Job summary

Mitie Cleaning & Hygiene Services in Whitefield, Manchester, is seeking a Stores Operative to join the busy stores operation. This hands-on role focuses on receipt, storage, tracking and distribution of materials to keep operational teams supplied.

You will book goods in and out, maintain accurate stock records, keep storage areas clean and safe, and support vehicle movements. A Full UK Driving Licence and a Fork Lift Truck Licence are essential; full training is provided.

• Ability to carry out manual handling and physical duties.
• Basic IT skills to support inventory and stock control processes.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

ROLE: Stores Operative

HOURS: Full Time, 40 Hours per Week (Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 16:30)

LOCATION: Whitefield, Manchester

We are looking for a Stores Operative to join Vantage Lifting Solutions, part of Mitie Telecoms, supporting the day-to-day running of a busy stores operation in Whitefield, Manchester.

This is a hands‑on role where you will help ensure the efficient receipt, storage, tracking and distribution of materials and equipment. You will play a key part in keeping the stores organised, maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring operational teams have the equipment and resources they need to succeed.

Role Responsibilities

• Receive, unload and safely store deliveries.
• Book goods in and out using the inventory management system.

• Keep storage areas clean, organised and compliant with Health & Safety standards.
• Support the movement, handling and distribution of materials and equipment.

• Follow all company policies, procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
