Job summary

Games Workshop in Nottingham is seeking a Materials Control Supervisor to oversee materials control operations and lead a team to ensure accurate flow of incoming and outgoing materials. You will support production plans and strive for on-time delivery, while maintaining stock accuracy and safety standards.

You will work with other shift supervisors to identify improvement opportunities and drive efficiency. The role is onsite with a focus on reliable material handling and continuous improvement.

  • Champion safety culture by completing daily/weekly tasks and reporting incidents or issues.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise material flow operations and deliver efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with other Materials Control shift supervisors to drive continuous improvement across operations.

About The Job

We are looking for a talented person to step into a Materials Control Supervisor role at our head office site in Lenton, Nottingham. Reporting to the Materials Control Shift Manager, this vital role focuses on the effective supervision of Material Control operations to ensure all manufacturing areas receive the right incoming and outgoing material flow support so that all production plans and demand can be delivered on time in full.

The Materials Control Supervisor will oversee and optimise all areas of our materials control operations, ensuring efficient workflow, accuracy in processing and stock management, alongside total adherence to health and safety. You will be responsible for directing and motivating a team of colleagues, maintaining high standards to meet customer needs and effectively ensuring that service is never compromised. You will promote effective performance by supervision & reviews with your team, assigning objectives and providing regular, constructive feedback.

Working closely with the other Materials Control shift supervisors you will identify opportunities to optimise material flow operations as well as deliver efficiency improvements.

To be successful in this role you will be someone who manages with integrity, approaches challenges with humility, and is committed to driving positive change. We need someone who will lead by example to promote a culture of collaboration, problem solving and continuous improvement. You will champion a safety culture through effective completion of daily and weekly tasks, and the proactive reporting of any incidents or issues.

Other Essential Information

Location: This role is based full time onsite at our UK headquarters in Nottingham. The working hours for the role are 2pm to 10pm Monday to Thursday and 1pm to 8pm on Fridays.
