Job summary

Games Workshop is seeking an experienced Shift Manager to join our Distribution team at East Midlands Gateway, near Nottingham. You will manage multiple shifts on a rotating basis, plan staffing levels, and coordinate across departments to deliver operational plans and stay within budgets.

You will champion health and safety, work with the Training Manager to ensure essential training and SOP compliance, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Responsibilities

Champion health and safety priorities and drive a safe culture.
Coordinate with Training Manager to deliver essential training and ensure SOPs followed.

About The Job

Games Workshop has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Shift Manager to join our Distribution team where you will manage teams on individual shifts on a rotating basis. Our finished goods distribution centre is based at East Midlands Gateway, which distributes our products across multiple channels both domestically and around the world.

You’ll recognise the importance of having the right people, in the right place, at the right time as you plan to ensure all shifts are effectively staffed and have appropriate management support for each shift. We’ll see you working collaboratively across departments, as you build effective working relationships across the supply chain to achieve our goals, always being cost effective, efficient. Day to day, you’ll champion a safe culture as you drive health and safety priorities and you’ll coordinate with the Training Manager to ensure essential training is delivered to all staff and all standard operating procedures are followed. Adaptable and excited by opportunities to improve efficiencies, we’ll look to you to proactively identify and resolve issues through driving operational improvement. With a strong eye for numbers and able to adapt to a change in priorities, this is a fast-paced role where you will be responsible for delivering operational plans and priorities and managing costs and budgets.
