Job summary

VINCI is seeking a Material Controller to oversee the safe and efficient handling of project materials across multiple sites in Scotland. The role covers receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution to towers and construction teams.

You will maintain accurate records, manage inventory, and ensure compliance with safety and environmental standards while supporting the construction programme through proactive logistics.

Qualifications

• Experience in materials control, stores management, logistics, or warehouse operations on construction projects.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Experience managing inventory records and tracking systems.
• Knowledge of delivery documentation and stock control procedures.
• Proficient with Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage deliveries to the main project yard.
• Verify materials against orders and requirements.
• Inspect quantity, quality, and compliance.
• Record shortages, damages, and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate incoming delivery records.
• Coordinate material distribution to tower locations.
• Plan vehicle and lifting resources to meet programme.
• Produce regular stock and logistics reports.
• Maintain material registers and documentation.
• Ensure safety and environmental compliance in yard.
