Job summary

VINCI Energies UK & RoI is seeking a Material Controller to manage all project materials across Scotland. You will oversee receipt, inspection, storage, and distribution from the main yard to tower locations, ensuring accurate records and traceability.

The role supports the construction programme through effective logistics, inventory control, and compliance with safety requirements. Ideal candidates will have experience in materials control within large-scale projects, strong Excel skills, and

Qualifications

• Experience in materials control, stores management, logistics or warehouse ops within construction, utilities or infra.
• Strong organisational and planning skills.
• Experience managing inventory records and material tracking systems.
• Good understanding of delivery docs and stock control procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Office apps.
• Ability to prioritise workload in fast-paced construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage all deliveries arriving at the main project yard.
• Verify delivered materials against orders, notes and project requirements.
• Inspect quantities, quality, damages, and spec compliance.
• Record shortages, defects, damages, and discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming deliveries.
• Plan and coordinate distribution from yard to tower locations and fronts.
• Maintain material registers and transfer documentation.
• Support audits and quality inspections with material traceability.
