Qualifications

Applicants should meet the following criteria:
  • Minimum of GCSE/O level Mathematics and English or equivalent
  • Proficient in the use of a PC, including software and systems
  • Ability to use Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Excel
  • Must have stock control experience or understanding
  • Capable of using computers and software generally
  • Able to work on own initiative without close supervision
  • Able to prioritize workload
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
Duties of this role include:
  • Be an active member of the Materials Department, involved in daily operations, providing effective and high-quality materials management to internal customers, and achieving departmental KPIs and objectives.
  • Contribute to effective management of hospital stock to ensure an efficient supply of consumables to all departments.
  • Ensure stock availability through correct order processing and replenishment of pre-approved stock for central stores or hospital departments.
  • Carry out departmental stock top-ups to departments and wards as required.
  • Provide Theatre Pick to Case Service.
