Job summary

British Airways PLC is seeking a Material Agent to support the Avionics Materials Support team. The role focuses on purchasing, scheduling, and liaising with internal workshops to keep material flow smooth and on schedule.

You will manage POs in SAP, maintain quality standards, and drive cost-saving improvements while ensuring timely payments and repair negotiations across allocated workshops.

Qualifications

• Experience in an operational area is desirable.
• Experience with SAP and PO management is preferred.
• Ability to follow established processes in a safety-focused setting.
• Willingness to learn new systems and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Managing the purchase order book and SAP to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Acting as the primary interface with stakeholders and providing delivery info to workshops and Supply Chain.
• Ensuring quality standards are consistently adhered to.
• Managing the recoveries process to ensure timely payments to BA.
• Managing external repairs for allocated workshops and meeting performance criteria.
• Approving repair quotations and scrap requests, negotiating best value with suppliers.
• Participating in continuous improvement initiatives and supporting business objectives.
