Job description

An exciting job opportunity has arisen at a world leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment. The role is a Material Planner on a 24-month rolling contract. The role offers a pay rate of £16.22 per hour (PAYE) and £23 per hour (Umbrella). You will be working 37.5 hours a week on day shifts, Monday to Thursday, with Fridays off. Working hours are from 07:00 am to 16:45 pm, with a 17:15 pm finish on Mondays.

The Role
  1. Participate in scheduling production and delivery processes in accordance with current productivity and cost efficiency standards.
  2. Develop and execute material planning for a product line to ensure all material requirements for assigned programs are met within the specified time frame.
  3. Organize the flow of materials within the manufacturing unit and manage the transfer of materials to and from inventory or warehouse.
  4. Generate forecasts and manage replenishment planning for parts and materials to meet specified service levels.
Requirements
  1. Experience with Microsoft Office packages.
  2. Experience with SAP is desirable.
  3. Previous experience in a material planning or buying role.
  4. Supply chain experience or transferable skills.
