Job summary

Unipart Manufacturing is launching a flagship project in Coventry, seeking a proactive Material Planner to manage material flow, supplier schedules, and goods-inward processes for high-volume electrification and injection moulding assembly.

The role focuses on loading schedules into MRP systems, coordinating with suppliers and production teams, tracking performance KPIs, and applying lean methods while ensuring SHE compliance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as Material Planner or Inventory Controller in high-volume, JIT manufacturing.
• Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and strong Excel skills.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers and production teams.

Responsibilities

• Load customer and supplier schedules into MRP (IFS) and update demand forecasts.
• Expedite material deliveries and track engineering changes.
• Coordinate inbound/outbound transport and prepare delivery paperwork.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze data, and prepare progress reports.
• Apply lean methods to improve material flow and ensure SHE procedures.
