Job description

A full-time permanent vacancy has arisen within our Planning Department. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.

Primary Purpose of Position

To ensure that the supply of materials meets the production schedule and maintains minimum stock levels to ensure operational and production continuity.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Run various stock reports daily, weekly, and monthly to identify potential shortages and take appropriate action.
  2. Implement engineering changes for top-level and component parts, ensuring the ERP system is updated, stock disposition is correctly managed, and WIP actions are taken.
  3. Ensure the most current and accurate information is reflected in relevant department folders.
  4. Administer Customer Drawings/Spec Control, including registering new drawings and updating existing ones, with ERP system updates accordingly.
  5. Maintain housekeeping of ERP system data to ensure accuracy.
  6. Monitor the integrity of the Bill of Materials (BOM).
  7. Coordinate effectively with all internal departments within Glenair.
Job Requirements:
Person Specification
  1. Experience in using all Microsoft Office packages, including Microsoft AX.
  2. Experience in data inputting and processing.
  3. GCSEs in Maths and English.
  4. Ability to work as part of a team.
  5. Ability to work under tight deadlines.
