Primary Function

To plan, release, schedule, expedite and monitor materials required for production; manage daily inventory and supplier schedules; analyse, coordinate and communicate detailed production planning material requirements. The Material Planner will work within defined parameters to make decisions, apply concepts to issues of moderate complexity, and resolve issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Contract Details

• 7 Month Contract
• Working hours: 8.00am - 4.00pm, Monday to Friday
• 37.5 hours/week
• Location: Havant

Additional Responsibilities

• Parts Planning: Manage demand requirements with manufacturing and supplier capabilities to meet customer needs.
• Maintain planning data parameters (order policies, safety stock, make/buy, lead times).
• Execute documentation and system transactions to allocate, purchase, manufacture, or reschedule materials.
• Expedite materials to meet shortfalls.
• Analyze ERP data; prepare reports to facilitate supply chain decisions.
• Maintain accuracy of item master and planning data in ERP systems.
• Identify opportunities to reduce inventory, improve service levels, and cut costs.
• Collaborate with SCM and Production on ramp-up/down plans.
• Resolve invoice queries and accounts payable issues.
• Update reports on material availability.
