Job summary

TeamJobs is seeking a Warehouse Operative / Material Handler to join our Warehouse / Logistics team. The role involves loading, unloading, moving and handling materials safely within the warehouse or storage facility.

The successful candidate will use hand trucks, forklifts, hoists and conveyors, with attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Working hours are fixed, with a security-conscious approach and willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse/logistics or material handling is desirable.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.

• Good time management and organisation.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials from trucks safely and efficiently.
• Move, handle and store materials within the warehouse.
• Operate manual handling equipment and trained forklifts/hoists/conveyors.
• Ensure materials are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Follow health and safety procedures including manual handling guidelines.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Follow supervisor instructions and assist with general duties.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet targets and deadlines.
• Report damaged goods, equipment issues or safety concerns.
