Job summary

Masstemps Ltd in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced Material Handler to join a busy manufacturing company near the area. You will operate Counterbalance FLT, use overhead cranes, load and unload deliveries, and prepare steel materials for production and dispatch.

The role requires prior steel or metal experience, a valid Counterbalance FLT licence, overhead crane competence, and a safety-focused approach to material handling.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a steel or metal environment.
• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence and experience operating FLT CB, Sideloader trucks.
• Overhead crane experience.
• Able to move long, heavy steel materials safely with FLT and crane equipment.
• Experience handling steel tubes preferred but not essential.

THE ROLE

• Assist with general yard duties, including keeping materials organised and the area tidy.
• Follow safe lifting, handling and storage procedures at all times.

ABOUT YOU

• Previous experience working within a steel or metal environment.
• Valid Counterbalance FLT licence and practical experience operating FLT CB, Sideloader trucks.
• Previous overhead crane experience.
• Confident moving and handling long, heavy and awkward steel materials using FLT and crane equipment.
• Experience handling steel tube would be preferred but is not essential.
• Good understanding of safe material handling and storage.
• Comfortable working between the warehouse, stores and yard.
• Reliable, practical and safety-conscious.

Monday to Friday 06:00am – 14:00pm

Rotating
