Job summary

Mirus Aircraft Seating is seeking a Material Handler to join our Warehouse team in the UK. The role focuses on line-side supply to Production, stock control and accurate material handling within a busy serial production environment.

You will receive goods, perform stock checks, and ensure timely material availability for production while maintaining records and contributing to safe, efficient warehouse operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in busy warehousing or stock control within engineering or manufacturing.
  • Health, safety and environmental requirements knowledge.
  • Able to work in a team, take direction from others and collaborate.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Receive goods, booking items in accurately and locating them in designated Warehouse locations.
  • Pick material components against Work Orders and issue to Bills of Materials (BoM).
  • Manage and maintain stocks of consumables and purchase stores in line with budget and minimum stock levels.
  • Carry out Perpetual Stock Takes and report shortages to the Warehouse Supervisor.
  • Ensure items are booked out accurately to receiving departments and restrict access to authorized personnel.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler to join our Warehouse team.

As a Material Handler, you are a key part of our business supply chain. Your responsibilities will include picking of materials from the Warehouse against Work Orders for Line-side supply to Production, working cross-functionally as a key contributor and maintaining materials and other records.

About the role

As a Material Handler this role will focus on:

  • Picking materials from the Warehouse against Work Orders for Line-side supply to Production.
  • Receiving goods in, material storage, stock checking, counting and kit picking to ensure accurate, standardised and timely supply of material components to Production.
  • Recording and reporting inventory statuses and making sure deliveries properly match purchase orders.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBLITLIES:

In your role as our Material Handler, you will:

  • To receive in goods, booking items in accurately and locating them in the designated locations within the Warehouse
  • Pick material components against Work Orders and issue to Bills of Material (BoM)
  • Manage and maintain stocks of consumable items, purchase stores consumables in line with budget and minimum stock requirements.
  • Carry out Perpetual Stock Takes, reporting shortages to Warehouse Supervisor or, in their absence, to Production/Supply Chain
  • Ensure that all items within the Warehouse are booked out accurately to receiving departments, at no time allowing free access to unauthorised personnel
About you

  • Experience working within a busy Warehousing or stock control function within either engineering and/or manufacturing/ production
  • In-depth understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements
  • A basic understanding of English - both written and verbally
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Office 365
  • Knowledge of the operation of ERP and MRP systems
  • Able to work within a team, take direction from others and collaborate effectively
  • Forklift licence would be advantageous
Personal skills / attributes:
  • Willingness to learn and highly self-motivated
  • Strong attention to detail, excellent organisational skills

Eligible to work in the UK and ability to work flexible hours, as required
