easyJet is seeking a highly motivated Material Demand Planner for a 12-month FTC, pivotal in shaping inventory strategy and forecasting demand signals in our Engineering & Maintenance supply chain. This full-time role will engage with large datasets and key operational stakeholders to ensure optimal inventory management supporting aircraft operations.
Material Demand Planner – 12 month FTC
We’re looking for a highly motivated Material Demand Planner to join our Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) supply chain team at easyJet on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract. Reporting to the Material Demand Planning Lead, you'll be at the heart of our operation—analysing all types of part demand signals (planned, unplanned, and predictive) to create accurate, data-driven consumption forecasts. Your insights will directly shape our spare parts strategy, ensuring we maintain optimal inventory levels to support our aircraft operations around the clock, 365 days a year. This is a critical position that connects planning with performance, helping us deliver safe, efficient, and on-time travel to millions of passengers.
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be instrumental in shaping our inventory strategy by identifying and interpreting a wide range of material demand signals—from historical data and planned maintenance to predictive models and engineering inputs. You’ll collaborate closely with our Supply Chain Data Analyst, central Data Science & Analytics team, and key operational stakeholders to build intelligent tools, support the Station Parts Alert (SPA) model, and optimise inventory levels across our network. This role involves working with large data sets, developing robust forecasts, preparing reports, and supporting innovative solutions within our planning systems, including AMOS. You'll also play a key role in ensuring safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across the material planning function.
What you’ll need to do the role:
The right candidate will ideally bring at least three years of experience in a fast-paced, high-pressure airline or aviation materials planning environment. You’ll have a solid understanding of rotable, consumable, and expendable parts management (desirable), and be highly skilled in analysing and manipulating large data sets using tools such as Excel, SkyWise, or Python. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and influencing skills are essential. A comprehensive knowledge of AMOS is required, along with a working understanding of aviation regulations including Part 145 and Part M/CAMO. A CIPS qualification is desirable but not essential.
What you’ll get in return
> Competitive base salary
> Up to 20% bonus
> 25 days holiday
> BAYE, SAYE & Performance share schemes
> 5% pension
> Life Assurance
> Flexible benefits package
> Excellent staff travel benefits
Location & Hours of Work
This full-time role will be based in Capability Green 800, Luton, and will be 40 hours per week. Travel may be required. We operate on a hybrid working model and spend 60% of our time in the office.
