Sodexo Live! St James’ Park in Newcastle is seeking kitchen-based staff for matchdays and non-matchday events. You will help coordinate food orders between kitchen and guest areas, ensure quality and timely service, and support stock and hygiene tasks in a fast-paced stadium environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in kitchen, food service, catering or hospitality.
• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple orders.
• Excellent communication with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Calm and efficient in a fast-paced stadium environment.
• Attention to detail for quality and presentation.
• Good knowledge of food hygiene, allergens and safety.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible to work evenings, weekends, matchdays and events.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the flow of food orders between kitchen and front-of-house.
• Ensure dishes meet presentation, quality and portion standards.
• Organise and manage food tickets for timely service.
• Communicate with chefs, runners and hospitality staff for efficient service.
• Check orders for accuracy before sending to kiosks or dining spaces.
• Prioritise orders during busy service to support kitchen efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen pass and surrounding service areas.
• Assist with plating, garnishing and final prep as required.
• Support stock replenishment of pass equipment, garnishes, sauces and service items.
• Follow all food hygiene, allergen, health & safety, and stadium procedures.
• Help resolve service issues quickly by liaising between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and equipment checks.
• Work calmly and efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume stadium catering environment.
• Maintain professionalism and strong attention to detail throughout all service periods.
