Alignerr is seeking Masters & PhD-level researchers for AI training work. This is a fully remote, hourly-contract role with flexible 10–40 hours per week, designed for serious researchers who want to shape AI systems.

You will tackle complex, multi-disciplinary problems, craft precise problem statements, and review AI outputs for academic rigor. Prior experience in STEM research and strong writing are essential.

Who You Are

• Holder of a Master's or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field
• Proven track record in research, publications, or complex technical project management
• Exceptional written communicator — you can explain difficult concepts with precision and clarity
• Naturally detail-oriented with a systematic, rigorous approach to problem-solving
• Self-directed and comfortable working independently in an asynchronous environment
• Based in the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia, or New Zealand

Nice to Have

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or AI evaluation systems
• Proficiency in Python, R, or other research-oriented programming languages
• Familiarity with AI model training or evaluation workflows
• Cross-disciplinary research experience spanning multiple technical domains
