Alignerr is seeking a General Postdoctoral Researcher (Masters/PhDs) to advance AI reasoning research. This fully remote, hourly contract role offers 10–40 hours per week on complex problems alongside leading AI labs.

Ideal candidates have a strong research background, publications, and exceptional written English. No industry experience is required; the emphasis is on academic depth and independent scheduling.

Qualifications

• Holds a Master’s or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field from a top university.
• Strong track record of research, publications, or complex project work.
• Communicates with exceptional clarity and precision in written English.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working asynchronously without hand-holding.
• Based in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, or New Zealand.

Responsibilities

• Develop, solve, and critically review advanced problems across STEM domains with real-world relevance.
• Apply research expertise to design complex problem statements that challenge AI reasoning capabilities.
• Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to enhance model performance.
• Ensure academic rigor, clarity, and depth across every deliverable you produce.
• Work independently on your own schedule — no meetings, no micromanagement.
