Job summary

AutoSkills (United Kingdom) is seeking a skilled Master Vehicle Technician to join a busy workshop team. You will perform health checks, servicing, diagnostics and repairs to manufacturer standards, working alongside experienced technicians.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent, and a full UK driving licence. We value motivation, teamwork and a commitment to high standards, with opportunities for training and progression.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent) is required.
• Previous experience as a Senior Vehicle Technician or Master Technician is preferred.
• A full UK driving licence is essential.
• Motivated, self-driven and committed to high standards.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a workshop team and undertake further training.

Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Complete vehicle inspections in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Perform servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
• Conduct health checks and identify additional work required.
• Inspect lighting, tyres, mechanical and electrical components.
• Carry out minor repairs on vehicles.
• Carry out basic mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
• Carry out repairs with customer approval.
• Complete warranty repairs in line with manufacturer procedures.
• Fit customer-requested accessories.
• Conduct road tests to confirm faults are rectified.
• Complete all relevant paperwork accurately.

• Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 5:00pm
• 1 in 3 Saturdays: 8:30am - 12:30pm

The Role

Working alongside experienced technicians, you will play an important role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to manufacturer standards. Your responsibilities will include vehicle health checks, servicing, inspections, diagnostics and carrying out additional repairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles.
• Complete vehicle inspections in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Conduct vehicle servicing and maintenance to manufacturer standards.
• Carry out vehicle health checks and identify any additional work required.
• Inspect lighting, tyres, mechanical and electrical components.

• Undertake additional repairs once authorised by the customer.
• Complete warranty repairs in line with manufacturer procedures.

The Ideal Candidate

• NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience as a Senior Vehicle Technician or Master Technician
• A full UK driving licence.
• A motivated and self-driven approach, with a commitment to high standards.
• The ability to work effectively as part of a workshop team.
• A willingness to develop technical knowledge and undertake further training.
