Job summary

Group 1 Automotive is recruiting a Master Technician (Mechanic) for the Volkswagen Van Centre Chelmsford. You will perform maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards, perform thorough inspections, and advise customers with clear communication.

We offer uncapped earnings around £60,000 OTE, a £2,500 welcome bonus, and flexible working options. Additional benefits include pension, healthcare access, cycle-to-work, and volunteering days.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent qualification.
• Current valid UK driving licence.
• Current MOT licence is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality vehicle maintenance and repairs following manufacturer standards and guidelines.
• Conduct thorough inspections of vehicle components to assess wear, damage, or required replacements.
• Provide expert technical advice to customers with clear and professional communication.
• Maintain exceptional customer service standards to foster trust and repeat business.
• Collaborate with service reception and workshop control for seamless workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Offer support and guidance to fellow technicians in the workshop.
