Job summary

Evans Halshaw Vauxhall Wakefield is seeking a Master Technician with advanced diagnostic skills to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical faults. You will support workshop colleagues and share knowledge as a trusted technical resource.

We offer a £2,000 joining bonus, flexible four‑day weeks, no weekend shifts, and salaries based on a 45‑hour week (other patterns available). Basic salary up to £47,225 with OTE up to £51,455 and a paid first three months bonus.

Qualifications

• Master Technician accreditation and advanced diagnostic capability.
• Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification or equivalent.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Proven experience diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical/electrical faults.
• Ability to mentor and support workshop colleagues.

£2,000 joining bonus available for all experienced Technicians.

Flexible four-day working week available.

No weekend work required – Monday to Friday only!

Salaries are based on a 45-hour week. Alternative 40 and 42.5-hour working patterns are available to discuss at interview.

What you’ll bring:

• Full UK driving licence.
• Level 3 Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification or equivalent.
• Recognised manufacturer Master Technician accreditation.
• Advanced diagnostic expertise, with confidence using specialist equipment to investigate complex mechanical and electrical faults.
• Proven experience applying systematic fault-finding techniques to identify root causes and resolve challenging vehicle issues.
• Ability to deliver accurate repairs, verify that faults have been resolved and share technical knowledge to support and mentor workshop colleagues.
