Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of MDM systems, data quality tools, ERP platforms and governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL, database management and BI tools.
  • Strong regulatory knowledge including GDPR compliance.

Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Master Data Quality & Governance Lead to join LGC in Kidlington, UK. This outstanding role involves developing and applying data quality and governance strategies across the company, ensuring master data is accurate, consistent, and reliable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and apply comprehensive data quality and governance frameworks aligned with organisational objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of data specialists to drive data quality initiatives and establish guidelines.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify data quality issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Build and coordinate data quality metrics, reporting, and monitoring processes.
  • Establish and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Promote the use of data quality tools and approaches throughout the organisation.
  • Conduct regular data quality assessments and audits to ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience in data management, data quality, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated history of effectively carrying out data quality and governance initiatives.
  • Extensive knowledge of master data management systems, data quality tools, ERP platforms, and governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in SQL, database management, and business intelligence tools.
  • In‑depth knowledge of data quality methodologies and guidelines.
  • Experience in training and mentoring cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence collaborators at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., GDPR) related to data management.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or Data Governance and Quality Professional (DGQP) are advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change and drive adoption of new processes and technologies.
