Responsibilities
  • Produce PT/EQA test samples and perform rigorous quality control assessments
  • Ensure the control and purchase of laboratory consumables
  • Monitor and prioritize work to strictly adhere to production and reporting deadlines
  • Maintain laboratory records and documents in line with current procedures
  • Implement development project work and coordinate development tasks as needed
  • Contribute to the achievement of team and individual objectives with a collaborative spirit
  • Adhere to laboratory and company health and safety procedures, preparing COSHH assessments
  • Proactively identify and determine areas for improvement in laboratory efficiency, productivity, and quality
  • Carry out additional duties or tasks as directed, commensurate with the role
Qualifications
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a scientific subject area, preferably chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field
  • Proven track record of working within a laboratory environment
  • Outstanding organizational ability
  • Methodical and detailed approach to work
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
