Job summary

Southwark Council is seeking a Business Support Manager for the MASH service to lead a team of Management Information Officers and deliver high-quality business and information support to social work teams.

You will oversee performance, develop staff, manage resources, and optimise processes to support timely decision-making, with a focus on continuous improvement and value-added business support across the service.

Qualifications

• Experience of managing and supervising teams within a busy service environment.
• Ability to allocate workloads, set performance standards, and monitor outcomes effectively.
• Experience managing sickness absence, performance issues, and staff development.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Experience supporting recruitment, induction, training, and employee development activities.
