Job summary

Bank of America in London is hiring a Markets Legal Documentation Negotiator (VP/Director) to manage drafting, negotiation and execution of complex trading documents for global clients. You will act as the primary contact for documentation across Markets, coordinating with Sales, Onboarding and Risk teams.

The role is client-facing, requires strong knowledge of derivatives documentation, and offers a pathway to leadership within Global Markets Agreements and Documentation.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated prior related experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of markets documentation.
• Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a cohesive team.
• Highly self-motivated with the ability to prioritise and drive execution.
• Ability to exercise excellent judgment within defined parameters.
• Significant experience with hedge fund structures and the PB industry.
• Law qualification preferred but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate and draft derivatives documentation: ISDA Master Agreements, CSAs, IM docs, collateral agreements, GMRA/GMSLA.
• Collaborate with Sales, Credit and Onboarding to maximise documentation onboarding efficiency.
• Advise front office, sales and trading, operations risk and collateral on documentation issues during negotiations.
• Act as Relationship Manager for a portfolio of high-priority clients; coordinate the agreement negotiation process across products.
• Liaise with internal partners and marketers/traders to reflect credit and business terms while ensuring compliance with laws and bank policies.
• Update trading agreements and other systems of record.
• Contribute to regulatory and other special projects as required.
