Job description

A leading global bank is hiring a Vice President into its Derivatives Legal function in London.

This is an advisory, policy-focused role sitting across derivatives products, covering netting and collateral policy, regulatory implementation (including EMIR and clearing-related advisory) and default-related work-out issues.

You'll act as an escalation point and technical authority rather than negotiating documentation directly, working closely with stakeholders across Legal and the business.

• We're looking for a qualified lawyer with strong knowledge of derivatives and related collateral structures
• Someone who understands security documentation conceptually (you won't need to draft ISDAs yourself), with sound regulatory awareness and the ability to see the bigger picture across a complex business.

This is a genuinely flexible, non-transactional role suited to a strong technical lawyer, or an experienced candidate returning after a career break.
