Job summary

pladis Foods Limited is seeking a Regional Procurement Buyer for the UK&I region on a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will lead strategic sourcing for Marketing, develop supplier relationships, and drive cost out and continuity initiatives in collaboration with the Global Head and regional teams.

The role requires proven indirect procurement experience, strong negotiation and analytical skills, and ability to manage multiple workstreams with stakeholders across the business. MCIPS is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven experience of strategic sourcing within indirect procurement.
• Negotiation and commercial analytical skills.
• Supplier/Customer relationship management experience or excellent inter-personnel skills with the ability to form strong working relationships.
• Project management and leadership skills, including how to make a strong recommendation.
• The ability to think strategically and set a 3 year category plan.
• The ability to lead many workstreams and work in a team whilst managing key stakeholders.
• Demonstrate experience of developing, leading, and delivering change implementation within an organisation.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills within the team and across the business.
• Marketing category experience is desirable.
• MCIPS or equivalent certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Build sourcing strategies and manage regional supplier base.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing for contracts within the category.
• Finalise contracts and ensure compliance with T&Cs.
• Negotiate terms, liaise with legal and suppliers for maximum value.
• Conduct D&B checks to assess supplier financial status.
• Present sourcing strategies and recommendations to forums.
• Report on key deliverables and Jaggaer updates for projects.
• Manage supplier performance issues and act as liaison to stakeholders.
