Job summary

pladis Global in London seeks a Head of Packaging Procurement to drive regional strategy for UKI, align with Global Packaging Procurement and deliver value across sourcing, contracts and supplier relationships.

You will lead a team, manage major spend, develop governance, and travel to factories and suppliers as needed. A Bachelor degree and regional/global procurement experience are essential; hybrid work in Chiswick is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• Proven procurement experience at regional/global level, ideally in packaging.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity in a complex, multicultural environment.
• Proven leadership and influencing skills with a collaborative mindset.

Responsibilities

• Implement procurement processes and tools within your categories.
• Deliver results across strategic dimensions of the mission for UKI Packaging.
• Build SRM with strategic suppliers for long-term relationships.
• Support contract execution when breaches of service or quality occur.
• Lead budgeting (AOP) for packaging with Global Procurement.
• Manage contracts for local sub-categories and ensure supply agreements.
• Oversee supply base performance and issue resolution.
• Understand regional and global market fundamentals to develop supply partners.
• Be the face of Packaging procurement across pladis UKI and Global Procurement.
• Establish regional category governance aligned with global standards.
• Review and report packaging activity in endorsed format.
• Lead regional sourcing and purchasing for the category.
• Contribute category management strategies for cost reduction.
• Manage a team of direct reports.
