Job summary

Ronald James is seeking an ambitious Marketing Manager in the North East to lead a growing marketing team within an established digital agency. The role blends hands-on delivery with client strategy, strategy ownership and team development, requiring strong technical marketing expertise and leadership ambition.

You will drive performance across a portfolio of client accounts, mentor a team, and work closely with senior leadership to shape the marketing department’s direction and growth.

Qualifications

• Marketing degree or related subject, or equivalent practical industry experience.
• Experience across SEO, PPC, Content and Social Media with measurable results.
• Ability to use data to measure performance and campaign ROI.
• Familiarity with GA4 and Looker Studio for reporting and insights.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ambition to progress into a broader leadership position.
• Experience in a fast-paced agency environment with multiple client accounts.

Responsibilities

• Act as day-to-day lead for a team of marketing specialists, content executives and apprentices.
• Own key client relationships and act as strategic point of contact.
• Translate performance data into clear insights and recommendations.
• Lead regular client review calls and meetings.
• Develop joined-up digital marketing strategies across SEO, paid media, content and social media.
• Support proposals, pitches and digital strategies for prospective clients.
• Remain hands-on with campaign delivery and optimisation across core areas (SEO, PPC, Content or Social).
• Provide SEO, UX and input into website rebuilds and migrations.
• Collaborate with design and development teams.
• Monitor performance using GA4, Google Search Console and Looker Studio.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and drive growth.
