The National Skills Agency is seeking a Marketing Manager to lead the development and delivery of a focused marketing strategy for its client portfolio, with an emphasis on growth, brand visibility and customer engagement. Responsibilities

  • Create and implement a marketing strategy and delivery plan based on the business's strategic priorities, with a focus on growth, brand positioning, visibility and customer engagement.
  • Work closely with the commercial team to support business objectives through lead generation and targeted product campaigns.
  • Lead the organisation of the National Advisory Committee, webinars and other customer engagement activities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of key business areas, customer profiles and market dynamics, particularly within the end-point assessment and awarding sector.
  • Identify and respond to evolving customer needs, using market insight and stakeholder engagement to inform marketing strategy and service development.
  • Lead market research to understand customer needs and preferences and use these insights to inform segmentation, targeting and positioning.
  • Plan and deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns that support business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop engaging content and marketing assets, including case studies, blogs, newsletters, social media, advertising, thought-leadership content, podcasts and website content.
  • Manage and maintain a marketing activity calendar, ensuring activity is coordinated and delivered on time.
  • Develop targeted marketing materials and digital content to drive website traffic, generate leads and support revenue growth.
  • Translate complex or technical information into clear, accessible and audience-focused messaging.
  • Monitor the external news agenda and identify opportunities to promote the business and its services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant industry platforms, associations and publications to enhance brand visibility.
  • Support internal teams with marketing expertise, tools and guidance to ensure consistent and effective brand representation.
  • Act as a brand guardian, ensuring marketing outputs are aligned with our clients tone, values and visual identity.

Job Purpose

Our client has an excellent opportunity for a Marketing Manager to join its integrated central marketing team.

The role will lead the development and delivery of a marketing strategy and implementation plan for our client, with a strong focus on business growth, brand visibility, customer engagement and expanding the customer base.

Reporting to the Head of Communications & Marketing, the Marketing Manager will work closely with the Head of Commercial to ensure marketing activity is aligned with strategic priorities and operational objectives.

The role will also support activity across their portfolio, ensuring alignment with the overall marketing strategy while delivering tailored activity to meet the needs of our client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evidence of marketing activity that anticipates and meets customer needs, contributing to customer growth, satisfaction and retention.
  • Successful development and delivery of the marketing and communications strategy, with measurable outcomes including campaign reach, engagement and conversion.
Qualifications
Essential
  • Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Experience
Essential
  • Extensive experience in B2B marketing, either agency or client-side.
  • Experience managing impactful and engaging communications campaigns from creation through to delivery.
  • Experience writing and distributing media releases for trade publications.
  • Experience producing content for social media channels in a B2B environment.
  • Experience working in an education, skills or complex industrial setting.
  • Experience supporting senior leadership within a communications or marketing role.
