Job summary

Hussmann offers a twelve-week internship program focused on marketing and communications within the food retailing industry. Interns gain real-life experience as solutions leaders, collaborating across teams and participating in leadership networking opportunities.

Participants develop content, assist with product launches, events, and trade shows, and compete in the Ideation & Innovation Challenge with mentorship from senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in school pursuing a minimum of a bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization
• Ability to set priorities, manage multiple projects, and demonstrate strong attention to detail
• Highly motivated and eager to learn
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to relocate, if not local

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, customer communications, and sales enablement materials.
• Create and update marketing content including presentations, brochures, digital assets, social media content, and promotional materials.
• Use Adobe Creative Cloud tools, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, to assist with graphic design, content creation, and production projects.
• Partner with marketing managers and cross-functional teams to support product launches, customer events, trade shows, and strategic marketing initiatives.
• Help coordinate marketing projects and ensure content and deliverables are completed on schedule.
• Network with senior leaders, associates, and other program interns to learn about our organization.
• Tour Hussmann's 1.6 million square foot manufacturing facility, our Global Hub for hosting customers, and the R&D Lab where we test product quality.
• Participate in community stewardship outreach, career development events, and other team-building offsite events.
• Compete in the annual Ideation & Innovation Challenge.
