Job summary

Tourism Western Australia is seeking a Marketing Executive to drive awareness and visitation through consumer and trade campaigns, in collaboration with distribution partners and airlines. You will plan and implement travel trade engagement and events, with a base in the UK and travel across Europe and Australia.

Reporting to the Country Manager, you will educate the trade through training, manage events and sales visits, and build strong partner relationships to grow distribution.

Qualifications

  • 2.1 or above from university
  • Excellent presentation and training skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills with ability to juggle several projects
  • Prepared to travel in the UK, Europe and Australia
  • Willingness to work flexible hours for events and training
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • Minimum of two years in a similar role or in front-line travel sales

Responsibilities

  • Educate the travel trade through training sessions and regular meetings on the destination and clients you represent
  • Plan and manage operations for events
  • Manage in-market client visits and trade shows
  • Build and manage relationships with key partners of the travel industry to increase distribution in line with key strategies
  • Work alongside amazing team members to deliver varied projects including marketing campaigns, affinity partnerships and media relations
  • Maintain and grow a database of engaged Tourism Western Australia agents communicating with them regularly via e-newsletters
  • Arrange and manage trade familiarisation trips taking responsibility for the execution from start to finish
  • Manage stakeholder relationships
  • Provide robust reporting
