Job Description:

HAYS Marketing is working in partnership with a college who are looking to appoint a Marketing & Events Executive to join their team, where you will work with schools, stakeholders, and prospective students recruiting for their Huntingdon and Cambridge Campuses.

About the role

You will be working to help young people make informed decisions about their next step. You will work with the team to build awareness of the college’s offer and the different educational routes available. Regularly out and about in schools and at events, both in person and online, you will be comfortable speaking to large groups at school assemblies, directly engaging prospective students and parents, and setting up events.

Central to this is building and maintaining relationships with schools, sixth forms, and college stakeholders, both external and internal. As part of the team planning and delivering the college’s recruitment activities, you will prepare presentations, videos, promotional materials, and coordinate events and engagement activities.

This role contributes to delivering impactful marketing communications and campaigns that support the College's recruitment objectives. This includes creating compelling case studies, engaging social media content, newsletters, email campaigns, and supporting in-college events, open days, and visits to local schools and community engagement events.

They are looking for an energetic, creative, focused, and meticulously organized individual with experience in marketing and events across various platforms to join their marketing and school liaison department.

Essential criteria:

This role requires travelling across the campuses, so it is essential for candidates to have a UK driving license and access to their own car. All appointments are subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks, including a satisfactory Enhanced criminal records check with the Barred List through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).

Benefits:
  • Working hours: 37 hours per week, Monday–Friday
  • 27 days holiday plus 8 bank holidays and Christmas closure
  • Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
  • Generous Contributory Pension Scheme: LGPS
  • Free gym membership and discounted classes
  • Discounted college courses
  • BUPA Health Expenses cash plan and Occupational Health services
  • Free annual flu vaccination and Eye Care Scheme
  • Free on-site parking with EV charging stations

  • On-site subsidized restaurants, retail, and coffee outlets, including Costa and Starbucks
  • Free telephone counseling service via Employee Assistance Program
  • Opportunities for career progression and development
