Citizens Advice Plymouth is seeking a motivated Marketing and Communications Officer to drive awareness and impact across channels. You’ll combine storytelling with engagement, supporting campaigns on social policy issues and community outcomes.
You’ll work with volunteers and partners, manage website content, and use Microsoft 365, Google Workspace and Canva to create compelling materials. Flexibility for occasional events is expected.
We’re looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and experienced marketer who has the curiosity and ambition to achieve the real change on behalf of our clients. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining marketing, communications and storytelling to engage audiences, raise awareness and demonstrate impact. As Marketing and Communications Officer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the twin aim of the organisation – campaigning on big social policy issues and make positive changes to people’s lives. We’re looking for someone who can think creatively, communicate effectively and adapt their approach to different audiences. You’ll be equally happy working on your own projects and collaborating with colleagues, volunteers and external partners. Most importantly, you’ll share our commitment to empowering people and giving voices to local communities. You’ll be confident delivering high-quality communications for a range of audiences and across multiple channels, including social media, website, print and events. You’ll be good at using IT packages, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, design software such as Canva and have experience of website content management. You’ll enjoy working with stakeholders, and be confident in building positive relationships with colleagues, volunteers, stakeholders and community organisations. You’ll be flexible, able to respond to changing priorities, and be comfortable working collaboratively within a fast-paced and creative team. We’re looking for people who are receptive to feedback and see it as a chance to continuously improve. Ideally, you will be willing to occasionally work outside normal working hours to support events and other organisational activities (e.g. weekends). You will be given time off in lieu (TOIL) for this.
