Job summary

Morrisons is seeking a friendly bakery assistant for their Market Street counters in the United Kingdom. You will provide warm, helpful service to customers and help prepare a range of fresh bakery products according to company standards.

You will maintain attractive displays, ensure product availability, and operate bakery equipment safely while upholding health and safety requirements. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced food environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail bakery or fast-paced food environment.
• Care about quality fresh food and presentation.
• Willing to help customers and resolve queries.

Responsibilities

Our fresh in-store bakeries are a huge part of what makes Market Street special. From fresh bread and rolls to baps, barms, cobs, and jam doughnuts, our Bakers craft delicious baked goods every single day.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Deliver friendly, helpful service that highlights the fresh bakery products we offer every shift.
• Prepare quality baked goods: Bake and prepare a wide range of breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products to company specification.
• Maintain vibrant displays: Keep fresh, attractive bakery displays fully stocked throughout the trading day to ensure product availability.
• Keep operations safe and smooth: Operate bakery equipment safely, maintain high health and safety standards, and support other fresh counters when needed.
