Job summary

Market Street is seeking a hands-on Bakery Assistant to support the fresh counter. You will deliver friendly service, bake a variety of breads and pastries, and keep displays looking inviting throughout the shift.

The role requires a proactive team player who enjoys a fast-paced environment and delivering quality fresh food to customers.

Qualifications

• Experience with bakery equipment and safe operation.
• Ability to deliver friendly, helpful customer service.
• Willingness to work across counters and support store colleagues.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Deliver friendly, helpful service that highlights the fresh bakery products we offer every shift.
• Prepare quality baked goods: Bake and prepare a wide range of breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products to company specification.
• Maintain vibrant displays: Keep fresh, attractive bakery displays fully stocked throughout the trading day to ensure product availability.
• Keep operations safe and smooth: Operate bakery equipment safely, maintain high health and safety standards, and support other fresh counters when needed.
