Job summary

Morrisons Market Street is seeking an enthusiastic bakery assistant to support daily operations in our in-store bakery. You will help prepare a range of breads and pastries, deliver friendly service to customers, and maintain attractive displays.

The role involves working with ovens, provers and mixers, adhering to health and safety standards, and supporting other fresh counters when needed. A passion for quality fresh food is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail bakery or fast-paced food environment.
• Care for quality fresh food.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts.

Our fresh in-store bakeries are a huge part of what makes Market Street special. From fresh bread and rolls to baps, barms, cobs, and jam doughnuts, our Bakers craft delicious baked goods every single day.

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Deliver friendly, helpful service that highlights the fresh bakery products we offer every shift.
• Prepare quality baked goods: Bake and prepare a wide range of breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products to company specification.
• Maintain vibrant displays: Keep fresh, attractive bakery displays fully stocked throughout the trading day to ensure product availability.
• Keep operations safe and smooth: Operate bakery equipment safely, maintain high health and safety standards, and support other fresh counters when needed.
