Job summary

Morrisons in Sheffield is looking for a Bakery Assistant to support in-store fresh bakery operations. You will help bake and prepare a range of breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruity items to company spec, while ensuring welcoming service and attractive displays throughout trading hours.

The role emphasizes safe operation of bakery equipment, teamwork across fresh counters, and pride in delivering quality fresh foods in a busy retail environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail bakery or fast-paced food environment.
• Care about quality fresh food.
• Over school leaver’s age (18+ due to health and safety).

In this role, you’ll be on hand to:

• Put customers first: Deliver friendly, helpful service that highlights the fresh bakery products we offer every shift.
• Prepare quality baked goods: Bake and prepare a wide range of breads, rolls, doughnuts, and fruited products to company specification.
• Maintain vibrant displays: Keep fresh, attractive bakery displays fully stocked throughout the trading day to ensure product availability.
• Keep operations safe and smooth: Operate bakery equipment safely, maintain high health and safety standards, and support other fresh counters when needed.
